What to expect from Teaching volunteering In Tanzania

As a volunteer, you’ll work alongside local staff in primary schools to provide essential teaching and support to children who lack access to educational resources.

Typical activities include teaching English, Maths, Science, Geography, supporting daily school routines, organizing interactive sessions, and leading extracurricular activities like sports or arts.

Arrival and Orientation

The program orientation begins on 1st and 3rd Monday of every month arrival and covers safety, living situation, culture, placements, local travel, and other guidelines. Airport pick-up is included.

Volunteer Work Schedule

  • Saturday/Sunday: Arrival
  • Monday: Orientation by local coordinator
  • Tuesday to Friday: Teaching at assigned schools
  • Weekends: Free time for sightseeing or safaris
  • Breakfast: 06:30 am, Lunch: 12:30 pm, Dinner: 06:30 pm
  • Teaching hours: 08:30 am to 12:30 pm
